Okay...only half of that statement is true. But that means that basketball season (pro and college) are in underway. Basketball fans, rejoice.
I will be completely honest with you....and you're probably going to be ashamed of me when you see this statement.
I haven't watched a full game of basketball (pro or college) since the respective seasons have started. I know. It's sad, but I'm working on it. Just gotta get my schedule right.
Anyway, I write this to share this instance with you. I had a coworker from the press room come to me and ask who I thought would be the favorite in college basketball to win it all.
*checks calendar*
It is November and the season LITERALLY just started just a couple of days ago. While Louisville is the champion and Kentucky is listed as the top team in the poll, we all know that the number one spot on that poll changes week by week. Nothing is easy to tell right now. Michigan State looks good. Kansas looks good. Duke looks good. Louisville is going to be tough to beat. And those are just four teams out of a possible 68 that could make the field in April.
It's too early to tell anybody anything about who's going to win it all. What do you say we take the rest of 2013 and enjoy the start of the college basketball season, huh?
Tell you what...to be fair, I'll release my Final Four around Christmas. Deal?
