Who thought this was a good idea? These "shirts" are awful. Honestly, they remind me of small fry recreation basketball players...just with more skill. According to a report by Ric Bucher, a poll of 21 players returned results that did not favor these jerseys. Sadly, the word is they're going to be around for a while because, basically, anyone can wear them anywhere.
So if they are going to be around for a while, the least the NBA could do is ensure that we only have to suffer through this only on Christmas Day and the All-Star Game. Let's not make this a mandatory thing. If teams want them as alternates, fine...I know the Golden State Warriors have them. I think the Minnesota Timberwolves have them too, but let's not completely do away with sleeveless jerseys. As a fan, that's all we ask.
