The University of Kentucky has taken the best shot of most of their opposition since the season started...and the Wildcats have turned back every challenge placed in their path.
On Sunday, John Calipari and the Wildcats claimed the SEC tournament title to add along with their SEC regular season title. But in Kentucky, that's no big deal. In fact, the 'Cats didn't even cut the nets down after blowing out Arkansas in the conference title game.
"We walked off the court and forgot to cut down the nets," Wildcats head coach John Calipari said when asked why his team didn't cut down the nets.
But Willie Cauley-Stein had a completely different explanation.
"Those aren't the nets we're really looking to cut down," Cauley-Stein said according to ESPN. "It's just a milestone. It's just part of the process for us winning and everything, but we're looking for something bigger. We're looking to cut down a couple more nets in the tournament."

Whatever the case may be, the teams in Kentucky's way have their work cut out for them and we could easily see the Wildcats continue to dominate as their quest for a national championship continues.
Just looking at that side of the bracket alone, Kentucky probably won't see a real challenge until Notre Dame or Knasas comes calling in the Elite Eight. Even then, I haven't fully convinced myself that either of those teams will be much of a challenge for the Wildcats.
So, who could possibly stop Kentucky from meeting their ultimate goal?

I've actually liked Wisconsin to be the Wildcats' spoiler. Led by Player of the Year candidate Frank Kaminsky, the Badgers have quietly gone about the business of getting back in position to get back to the Final Four. Remember, they were ousted a year ago by a buzzer beater. If that's not motivation enough, I don't know what is.
I think Wisconsin matches up well with Kentucky with size and strength. They won't be afraid to grind it out with the Wildcats and has the defensive discipline to stay with Kentucky. Honestly, I don't have faith in any other team. Not Villanova. Not Arizona. Not Gonzaga. Not even Duke.

It's going to take a combination of a near perfect game by the opponent and a slightly off performance early in the first half and late in the second for the Wildcats to fall. But that hasn't happened all year long and I don't expect to happen in this tournament.
