Kenny Hill has arrived.
After torching a South Carolina defense that went from a 4-3 formation a year ago to a 3-4, the sophomore who started the day with less than 200 passing yards as a college quarterback put up Tecmo Bowl like numbers against the Gamecocks.
Spurrier: "We got manhandled. We got clobbered." #Gamecocks.

It was pretty rough to watch if you're a Gamecock fan and pretty nice to watch if you were one of the many Aggie fans that traveled from College Station to Columbia. The night before, the Aggies had yell practice at the State House in Columbia (just seconds away from the USC campus). They essentially said they were going to beat the hell out of South Carolina. I don't know how many people believed the Yell Leaders (outside of the Aggie faithful) but they look like geniuses and Kevin Sumlin may be trying to make this game a permanent one in Columbia after this showing.
If you decided that you weren't going to watch the game, I'll give you Hill's breakdown.
Look at those numbers. Looks like somebody found actually did find a copy of NCAA Football 15 (which as most of you are aware was not released) and went to work. Wrap your head around that. Hill threw the ball 60 times. In a season opener. Get that guy an ice bag for his shoulder.
All preseason, all people heard was South Carolina's secondary was young and inexperienced. And Kevin Sumlin licked his chops. So did Hill. In fact, Hill broke some guy's single-game passing record. I think his name is Johnny something...
Here's the thing. You never know how inexperienced a secondary is if you get pressure on the quarterback. Well, Jadeveon Clowney did not walk through that door. The Gamecocks defensive line was bullied by the Aggies up front. It practically wasn't fair. Aside from a sack and forcing Texas A&M off the field twice, the Gamecocks simply didn't have any answers.
This is not a good look for Lorenzo Ward. People are going to be watching this film. Over and over. And East Carolina...and maybe the rest of the SEC will be smiling from ear to ear thinking they have a shot at doing the same thing. Whatever the case, Carolina has a LOT of work to do.
