With all of the fanfare and hoopla going on around the banner ceremony, one would have to think that the Seahawks would have some nerves coming into this and playing their first game as Super Bowl champions. However, that's not the case.
Seattle leads Green Bay 17-10 at the half and they seemingly haven't missed a step. I will say all of Seattle's points have come on costly errors that could have been avoided (Richard Sherman blocking a Packer into Earl Thomas during an attempt to field a punt, a pass interference call on a linebacker). Had it not been for those mistakes we could be looking at a 17-0 game.Maybe.
Seattle hasn't completely been perfect either, but they've found ways to keep Green Bay's offense under control. If the Packers are going to come away with a win, they'll have to be a little more aggressive in the second half. Yeah, it's nice that Lacy is getting touches, but Green Bay needs to find a way to mix it up a little more.
I don't think that happens. Look for Seattle's secondary to continue to be physical. Green Bay may score a couple more times, but I don't think it's enough to hand the Seahawks their first loss of the young season.
